Review's of Anny's Place

We are Larry and Jeannie Roberts, from Little Rock.

Last weekend Jeannie and I stayed in the new rental, “Anny’s Place.”  We loved it and will rotate staying at Anny’s Place with the Cherokee cabin.

Anny’s Place is large, open and everything is brand new.  The living room, dining area and kitchen are all in one large open room, illuminated by large skylights that are bright enough you do not need any lights until the sun sets.  There is a beautiful rock fireplace, a large flat screen TV, Wi-Fi and a land line telephone!  The kitchen with all new appliances, including dish washer, large open sink and an island is a joy for cooking.

Bedrooms are large with king beds.  We stayed in the bedroom with a sliding glass door that opens onto the back deck, with a view of the back yard.  Our bathroom, with great water pressure, is just outside the bedroom door.  The other bedroom, next to us, has its own great bathroom and a window looking at the front yard.  That bathroom has a unique walk-in shower, state of the art, with two doors that close together at 45⁰ and large overhead shower head and hand wand.

But we chose our bedroom because of the sliding glass door.  Unlike the other cabins, the windows in these bedrooms all have shades, so you can keep your room dark and sleep late.   Outside the bedrooms, in the hallway laundry closet, are a new washer and dryer.

Downstairs, the bottom floor, is what I call the “Bear Den”.  The bottom floor is ground level with a sliding glass door opening to a porch.  The porch is under the upstairs deck.  Again, the bottom floor is a large open room with its own fireplace, TV, couches, and a queen bed.  Downstairs does not have as much sunlight as upstairs but is well lighted.  And much cooler than upstairs.  If you want to hibernate like a bear, stay downstairs.  Plus, a nice bathroom with a large walk-in shower.

The front porch and back deck have lots of chairs and sitting places.  The back deck has a dining table and chairs.  Both have strong wall fans that keep you cool and flying varmints away.   The landscaping and planting are plentiful and beautiful.  Edd gives a better description, as he knows his flora.  The fire pit is another true, unique work of art.  Lots of parking on the new gravel circular driveway.  Even a garage!

My thoughts are I love Anny’s Place, but I also love the Cherokee.   It is view versus large and new.  How many times have I said “large”?  And “new”?  If, the weather is cool and it is just two of us, then I will stay at the Cherokee.  If the weather is hot, or have more than five, I will stay at Anny’s Place.  Either way will be a great time.  Thank you Edd and Ilonka, you make our lives better.  Love, Larry & Jeannie

Thank you Edd + Ilonka for a much needed reprieve.  Every square inch of Anny’s Place was built with one idea in mind – in a word – “relaxation”.  From the chaise to the cushioned porch swing, to the hammock, every piece of furniture seems jealous for occupancy.  We especially loved the fire pit.  Sitting in the Adirondack chairs as we gazed up into the night sky with the warm glow of the fire at our front and the greenery-laden lamp posts at our back – breath taking.  The smiles, love and memories set against the backdrop of Ozark idyll are your brand and you are experts.  Tommy, Brittany and Rebekah – Oct 25, 2021

Anny’s Place is absolutely perfect!  It was just the get-away my husband and I needed.  It was so nice to rest and re-charge.  Thank you so much for creating such a warm and inviting home for so many to enjoy!  We will definitely be back.  Joshua and Abby – Sep 23, 2021

Thank you for a delightful stay at Anny’s Place.  We so enjoyed the porches and cool breezes along with the deer herd.  This is a gorgeous setting and perfect for rest and relaxation.  Ken and Nancy – Sep 30, 2021

Thank you for sharing your beautiful place with us.  Everywhere you look you notice a little detail that wasn’t noticed before.  We enjoyed the breezes on the back deck and front porch.  My husband enjoyed using the griddle on the side porch.  We will definitely be back.  Thank you again.  See you soon!  Mike and Laura – Oct 10, 2021

Enjoyed ourselves – restful, lovely and comfortable in rain or shine.  Mark and Laura and furry friend Albert – Oct 17, 2021

What a lovely sanctuary you have created here.  Quiet, comfortable, peaceful and convenient to so many wonderful hikes, restaurants (be sure to try out the Low Gap Café, yum) and of course the beautiful Buffalo River.  I think sitting on the front porch was our favorite past-time.  Just listening to the wind thru the trees, the rustling of the leaves and the fall light play as the sun filtered thru the trees brought back many childhood memories and made the chaos of the outside world melt away.  Thank you Anny’s Place – we hope to see you again.  John, Jan, Beck and furry friend Marlee – Oct 22, 2021

It was perfect!  Hal and Debi and furry friend Sassy – Oct 27, 2021

We have stayed in a number of cabins, over the years, none more “homey and cozy” than Anny’s Place.  You have outdone yourselves in creating a beautiful and peaceful setting.  Anny’s Place has a gorgeous, roomy interior leading to relaxing porches looking out into a beautiful woodland and yard setting, dressed in striking fall colors…we decided we could stay here forever, with trips only to the grocery store…well done Ilonka and Edd!  We will be back!  Glen and Karen – Nov 1, 2021
